It has never been easier for a company to put the work at home entrepreneur in business. The benefits of owning an online retail store are endless. We have access to merchandise in our own store that we can purchase at wholesale. This is a valuable perk to being a store owner. But I want to talk home-based business. The difference between success and average. Raising the bar. Setting a higher standard that makes us a successful business owner. We have three stages with the second being the most important.

Starting - As with anything new we are excited about our new business. Energy is high. Everything seems clear cut and we are like a rocket that can't wait to launch. This is a good thing because this is what made us initiate the first step. Nothing ever comes without a first step. The timid will lose opportunities and the procrastinators will continue to postpone.


Learning - This is the phase that we are the most! vulnerable because mediocre may attempt to befriend us. At this stage some will fall to the wayside. Without exception this is the phase we must take on head first. This is critical to our success. This is what prepares us to be a successful business owner at any level. We must adhere to the learning process.

Business Owner - We begin to realize we are in business as an owner. We have begun to understand our tools, our promotional tactics, and better understand our commitments. We begin to sustain and charting our growth brings satisfaction. We start to gain momentum and new ideas begin to implement new strategies. As a new business owner we must remember that we can never cease from learning. Continuous learning allows us to think outside our comfort box and to maximize our potential.

When we are put in the online retail business by a company that processes our orders and drop-ships to our customers this is a major hurdle that we have eliminated. Promoting! our store is our only requirement. This is a must. This is wh! at deter mines our success as we enter our business owner stage. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise. Our retail store must reach the public. Promotion now becomes priority. We are now prepared to set a higher standard which brings success.
