If you've learned anything about internet marketing, you know that your most important asset is your list of prospects, and the relationship you've built with the people on it.

But is simply sending them useful content enough for your prospects to take some sort of favorable action?


Ask yourself, "What am I training my list of prospects to do?" Sending them valuable information is key to building your leadership and authority in their eyes, but it's not going to do you any good if they're just reading.

Train your list to take action. There are too many people not doing enough to be successful, and simply expecting a free ride. You can send them free, helpful information over and over again, but what do you think would happen if you suddenly send a promotion of your business or product?

They'll run away, and often angry. They weren't expecting you to try to SELL t! hem something! "Where's all the great FREE stuff you always give?"

Set the right expectations by getting them to act in a way that will eventually put money in your pocket. There is an abundance of people that want to spend money as long as they trust you.

Here are 3 creative and fun things you can do to get your list of prospects acting in your favor so they'll eventually find it natural to buy from you.

1. Do a Q&A.

A good way to get more interaction from your list is to start a Question and Answer routine in your newsletter. You can start out by making one up, or answer a question that was asked by a friend or colleague.

Make it interesting, and provide an answer that will help your list of prospects learn more about your particular topic (i.e. Home Business). Here's why this is important.

It will show your prospects reading your newsletter that others are interacting with you by sending in questions. Eventually, they'll feel co! mpelled to submit their own questions to you.

It's psy! chologic al, and it will build tons of value for you and your newsletter.

2. Train them to CLICK.

Instead of having them read just your email and then close it, get them to click a link to read your article.

I place all of my articles on my website, and force my readers to GO there if they want to read them. By getting them to click each time they get an email from me, I'm training them to take a favorable action.

Once I send a promotion of an affiliate product, or present an opportunity, they'll find it natural to click on my link to view my sales letter. Getting them to download a free report or audio recording also works well.

3. Raise Questions.

Here's a fun and interesting way to get your readers to interact. Once you've built enough loyalty, and you're getting consistent feedback from your list by using the previous 2 methods, then raise a question.

Ask your readers to submit their opinion on a certain topic, news, or issue, and! post the best ones in your next newsletter.

You could also take votes, and have competitions by giving away freebies or discounts to the best responders.

Try this. Once you've got some consistent interaction from your list, ask them to send you a suggestion on what topic to cover on your next newsletter issue. Pick the best ones, and save yourself time from having to come up with something to write about!

By doing these 3 things, you become an extremely valuable resource for your readers. They'll look to you for answers on virtually everything. If you train them to take action correctly, they'll put money in your pocket over and over again.
