Earn More Than Money
Owning your own home based business is a personal development journey with a pay check attached. It's not just about the money ... it's the person we become along the way.
In achieving the confidence to need to have to create a life by design and not by default, we must ask ourselves certain questions along the way:
* What is the next level I want to achieve?
* Who has achieved the results I want so that I can model them or mentor with them?
* What are the character traits of that successful person?
* What if I step into their character traits?
* Take full responsibility for your business and your life, step into these positive traits and act 'as if'.
How do our leaders attain that confidence and are able to maintain it?
What are some of the reasons holding people back?
Unfinished business is one of the factors that keeps us from moving forward with our plans. It is like carrying an invisible knap! sack on our back that weighs us down and zaps us of the positive energy that we need to move forward. Imagine what would happen if we put that knapsack down and let it go? Solution: Create a clearing where you eliminate unfinished business.
We also don't create a clearing for moving forward because of denial e.g. of finances, money flow, or never balancing our checkbook. The reality is that we are in denial. We pretend that there is not an issue but the issue constantly zaps our energy and is in the back of our minds constantly. Solution: get out of the denial phase immediately.
We must confront the issue and begin to address it. As you clear out these issues, your burden becomes lighter and you have energy to create new things. Every time you overcome an unresolved issue, you feel great, you have more confidence, you feel stronger, and facing the issue and dealing with it fills us with a sense of pride and a sense of accomplishment.
In creating financi! al wealth and in creating a life that is more than money, we m! ust also identify our fears. Ask yourself: what is it that I am afraid of? What is my deepest fear? What is my deepest fear around my business? What do I fear about the future? What fears do I carry with me from my past?
When we begin to name our fears, we begin to identify what it looks like and then are able to develop a plan of action to overcome those fears. A very human response is to create stories around our fears and the stories become our reality. It is wise to remember the acronym that 'fear' is 'False Evidence Appearing Real'.
The physiological response to fear is very important as it causes our adrenal glands to burn out, the stress creates large amounts of cortisol to be released in our body, our weight becomes 'stuck' and we are unable to release the weight. The body in effect creates a hormonal response of resistance and the body is exhausted. Women tend to gain weight while men tend to feel flat and exhausted. The result is a life filled with emotional! clutter - we have baggage and we can't get anything done.
The solution is to learn to play life at 100%. Learn to have and practice having clearing conversations with those persons whose energy is negatively and adversely affecting our own energy. Sometimes in order to clear out the emotional baggage it becomes necessary to say things to people that aren't necessarily nice but are absolutely true. Owning the confidence factor means that you are willing to clean house and step into your power versus being stuck. It means having enough humility, integrity and tenacity to take a stand for what you want in your life.
Lead by example. Do the things you want your team to be doing. If you are in a successful home based business that translates into doing 3-way calls, taking responsibility for your paycheck, assisting others on your team to become successful. All of us have had to do things we were afraid of doing. The attitude of "I'm just going to build this and pe! ople will come" is not an attitude that serves us well.
We must ask ourselves what is going to have to change within to meet your goals in the next 30, 60 and 90 days? Look into your business ... what is it you fear doing the most? Working with people you don't yet know? Being overwhelmed? Something about you that you feel isn't good enough?
Whatever it is you feel the most, by the law of attraction that is what is showing up in your life.
The solution of course is to learn by doing. What are you willing to do in the next week to step over those fears? Are you willing to go on mentorship calls? Are you in ease and flow to qualify for the next level in your business? Or are you hiding behind managerial mode, afraid to get back in the game and to prospect?
Your success is a process, it is not a destination. If you are putting pressure on yourself by saying "I will be happy when ..." it won't happen. You have to be grateful now. You have to be grateful for every person in your business and for every cycle. Happiness li! es in choosing joy now and stepping over your fear. Ask yourself great questions like: "What is absolutely perfect about this?" What is it that I am learning and growing from?"
Forgive and forget ... when we are holding onto things we haven't let go of we create a burden of anger and that negative emotion builds up in that invisible knapsack. As you forgive, you free yourself up. Forgive yourself. When you are guilty, you are fearful of stretching, fearful of growing. When you forgive it is to give to be free.
Winning Attitude: Your attitude is actually where you choose to focus. Don't focus on what is wrong, focus on what is right. Have a positive, great and healthy attitude.
1. Celebrate your successes each and every day. It's the small successes that lead to big successes and your confidence becomes stronger in each area.
2. Positive in and positive out ... nourish yourself with great books, positive people, the educational audios you listen to, and t! he inspiring movies you watch.
3. Attitude of Gratitude ...! living in that place of gratitude for all that you have achieved. When you are grateful for what you have now, it boosts your confidence as you are taking stock of where you are at.
4. Have an excellent support team - surround yourself with people that are going to support you, nourish you and tell you the truth.
5. Having short term goals - earning a six figure income starts with 2 cycles, it starts with becoming a paid as consultant. It is one small step at a time but it boosts your confidence to go onto the next goal.
6. Reward yourself and celebrate weekly - celebrate your successes, attach a reward to each step. Sit in the moment and bask in your success.
