Can You Really Manage a Family and a Work From Home Job?

Can You Really Manage A Family And A Work From Home Job?

Today, many people dream of working from home. Is working at home something that will work for you?

First of all, if you are looking to get rich quick, you might be better off buying a lottery ticket. Work-at-home successes all have a commonality: work. Those who have found success and made money by working from home on their computer did at least two things:
1) They worked hard to discover how to make money and 2) probably worked even harder to actually start bringing in that money.

Some of these successful people are willing to share their ideas with you either for a fee or even out of the goodness of their hearts. Good information can be available for a fee but there are many free resources as well that can get you started and help you find out more about what to and what not to do to jumpstart your work-at-home career.

Many people take a stab at an entrepreneurial telecommuting job and! then give up quickly because:
a) It's hard to find out what to get into
b) It can take time before you see the fruits of your labour
c) It's such hard work that they have trouble finding the balance they sought in a work at home job in the first place.

If you are willing to put in some time learning through some trial and error, you could find your way to a profitable work at home business that lets you balance work and family without commuting and daycare costs.

Can I juggle work with family in a WAH career?

Many mothers panic at the idea of leaving their babies at a few weeks or months old to go back to work. Many parents want to stay home with their children at least until they are in school full time.

Others Moms and Dads want to home school their children and plan to stay home indefinitely. The harsh reality though is that many families need two incomes to survive. This is where the dream of working at home comes in.

There! are many different niche markets such as: multi level marketi! ng oppor tunities, affiliate marketing, drop shipping businesses, freelance writing, technical and consulting work, auction businesses, virtual assistant positions, transcription or data entry services and more. Can you really make a full-time income working from home? The answer is a resounding yes. Will it take work and time? That's a yes as well.

How do you juggle demanding family responsibilities and work? At first, you may have times where the laundry or dirty dishes will sit or where you order take-out for dinner three days in a row. At first you may have to set your alarm to get up before the rest of the family so that you can get some uninterrupted work time or stay up after the house is quiet at night so you can finish a project. At first, you may work seven days per week and find that you now work harder than you ever did when you worked outside the home but is it rewarding and fulfilling? Absolutely!

When you find your niche and find that you are replacing ! your old income (or surpassing it) you can find it worthwhile to occasionally work with a toddler on your lap or ask Grandma to baby sit for an afternoon because you have important conference calls or meetings. Many women and men juggle working at home with family responsibilities and wouldn't trade it for the world!
